About us
When we started our story on the banks of the Danube back in 2007, we had no idea how many folks would attend our festival year by year and turn it into what it is today. Sometimes we forget about the nature that is within our reach, and by organizing Fish Fest Belgrade, we are bringing people back to the rivers and giving them the opportunity to try numerous river and sea specialties. While the cauldrons are simmering, the fish is being prepared on the grill and local bands are jamming, on those few days at the end of the summer, we are reviving the quay near the Nebojša Tower. In addition to the entertainment program, what marks each of our gatherings are the competitions in the preparation of fish soup and fish stew.
Every year we host a large number of both local and foreign guests, who are willing to try our specialties and celebrate the end of summer in the right way. The festival hosted well-known and recognized chefs from the region, who competed with each other in the preparation of dishes and made the competitive part of the festival’s program that much more exciting.
