Fish Fest Belgrade will be traditionally organized this summer as well, more precisely from September 3 to 6 on the quay near the Nebojša Tower. For the fourteenth year in a row, we are gathering people who share their love of fish, the Danube and good fun. In addition to a large number of local visitors, every year we host an increasing number of foreign guests.

The most important part of this gastronomic event is to celebrate our mutual love for fish specialties and to attract people to the rivers. With the tastes of fresh fish, seafood and fish soup, as well as the sounds of guest bands, we will spend five unforgettable days on the banks of the Danube. On the last day of Fish Fest, as before, we will organize competitions in the preparation of fish soup, fish stew, and stew from three types of meat. You can read the exact propositions of each competition in the News section. News.

The venue of our festival, the quay near the Nebojša Tower, has a long history. During the reign of despot Stefan Lazarević during the 15th century, the so-called Water Town was located at the same place. A fish market was in this town with craft shops which were scattered through narrow streets.

Fish Fest Belgrade was created in 2007 as a joint project of the fish restaurant Vodenica, the association "Dunav u srcu", as well as the municipality of Stari Grad, and under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications and the City of Belgrade.
